People will always find something to pick on. As one may not feel full, there is an increased chance of not being able to maintain a healthy body. With a focus in just one core food group, the rest of the basic food groups are compromised; bear in mind that all five, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals are crucial to help facilitate efficient organ functioning.

If the important elements are not balanced, chances are, several ailments may develop. Apart from the psychological exhaustion that may lead to depression brought about by the false promises, physical symptoms may include anemia, low blood pressure, fatigue, malnutrition, diarrhea and even kidney problems. One should also expect that most fad diets do not exactly suggest exercise as part of the plan. When you engage in one  and knowing that you already have a chronic ailment, you might want to reconsider or to at least seek consultation. Your doctor will likely disagree but if you insist, will surely remind you of some important things to bear in mind when patronizing the fad diet; those who suffer from cardiovascular diseases are the ones who are greatly at risk.

Nonetheless, not everything points out to negativity with fad diets. These diets can sometimes really make you lose a whole lot in just a short amount of time, depending on how your body is able to react. So if you need to be in that dress in a couple of weeks or months, you may actually benefit from a particular fad diet. As a result of the weight loss, some people will actually remain motivated and after some time, may revert back to more nutritious schemes.
