Soak in Tea. Brewed tea can rid your feet ofsss their smelly odor. Brew 2 to 3 bags of tea in warm water then soak your feet in them for 10 to 20 minutes every night. Tea has tannic acid that helps keep the feet from sweating. A smelly foot is caused by the bacteria and fungi that thrive on moist places especially in between the toes of your feet when wearing closed shoes. Soaking them in diluted warm brewed tea can help solve the problem.

Supplement with Zinc. A deficiency in zinc can cause foot odor. Take around 50 milligrams of zinc everyday to supplement zinc deficiency and the symptom of smelly feet will surely go away. If it doesn’t not resolve foot odor may be a symptom of a different cause.

Natural Apple Cider soak solution. To make a natural apple cider you just need to buy some apples and soak it in vinegar. This mixture will help in lessening or entirely removing foot odor. Just make sure to rinse your feet after soaking and dry them thoroughly.

Dust with Alum powder. Wash the feet preferably with soap and water then dry them thoroughly. Put alum powder which can be bought in drugstores. The alum powder will keep the feet dry when you wear closed shoes and will prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi which causes the foul odor.

Wear cotton socks. Cotton socks effectively absorb sweat when you have to wear closed shoes. When the socks are washed make sure that they are completely dry before wearing them.

Bleach soak solution. You can use the usual bleach in your house and prepare a solution with a basin of warm water and one fourth cup of bleaching solution. Soak your feet for 30 minutes and dry thoroughly. This will lessen the production of sweat and maintain clean feet.

Keep shoes dry and clean. Since bacterial growth thrives on moist environments we should keep our shoes clean and dry. When shoes are washed we should dry it out completely before wearing them to prevent having smelly feet. If you can wear sandals it would be much better as the feet can breathe and it will remain dry.

Maintain proper care and hygiene of your feet. Washing the feet regularly and putting alum powder after drying them and putting on shoes is a good practice to prevent smelly feet. Avoid getting the foot injured with cuts and cracks to avoid open wounds where bacteria can grow and proliferate. Remember that smelly feet come from bacterial and fungal growth which is preventable by keeping the feet clean and dry.
