Raw Vegetables

You probably should have listened to your Mother at the dinner table when she told you to eat your vegetables. Most diets, today, especially in the Western world, are lacking in vegetables. In fact, if you wish to get the most of your vegetables (and in some cases if you’re hoping to get any nutrition out of your vegetables) then you should consider eating or drinking them raw.

The gigantic demand for food has led modern farming techniques to be focused on growing crops faster and more efficiently rather than growing quality crops. Most vegetables grown on large commercials farms are severely lacking in nutritional value because they haven’t had the time to fully mature like normal vegetables. After you then cook these vegetables to serve at dinner, they’ve lost all their nutritional value and are as good for you as eating paper!

If you want to avoid this, then you can, of course, start your own vegetable garden in your back yard. This will allow for the plants to grow and mature properly and reach their maximum nutritional value before being eaten. Another method would be to eat your vegetables raw. In this case, cooking them would not remove their entire nutritional value.

Try finding a recipe for a tasty and healthy multi vegetable juice. You can even include some fruits if you want a sweeter taste. Eating or drinking your vegetables raw will benefit your entire body and will also help your immune systems fight off things like the common cold and stomach flu.
