•  Stay away from sugar foods, low sugar or sugar free foods are fine. Sugary foods can cause the dumping syndrome. This syndrome can happen when food is emptied into the small intestines too fast. Symptoms include diarrhea, nausea, fast heart rate, and feelings of being clammy and cold.

•  Remember to eat slowly and to sip liquids. Each meal should take between 30 minutes and one hour to totally consume your meal.
