Best Weight Loss Exercises

Everyone on a proper diet that is serious about losing weight will in fact be doing some sort of exercise. A proper diet will not be effective without exercise. Therefore, an important question to ask is: What is the best exercise to couple with a diet to lose the most weight? The answer to that question is what everyone expects: cardio or aerobic exercise. The converse of this, anaerobic exercise, includes things like strength training and weight lifting. It’s important to remember that while this CAN burn calories (as is required to grow muscles) it doesn’t work nearly as easily or efficiently for the simple purpose of losing weight.

Aerobic, or cardio exercises, are those that increase the heart rate for a long period of time, at the very least half of an hour. It includes exercises like walking, speed walking, jogging, playing basketball and even bouncing around on a trampoline. In order for this to be completely effective, however, it must be done every day. This is because the goal of a diet and aerobic exercise regimen is to burn fat. The only way to do this is to expend more calories through an increased level of activity than is eaten throughout the day. If you don’t follow through with cardio every day, you may be taking in more calories than you are burning which is very counter productive.
